On July 4, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to distribute almost 5.3 billion hryvnias of subventions among the communities of 10 oblasts: Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Odesa, Poltava, Sumy, Cherkasy and Chernihiv.

The source of the subvention is the funds allocated by the European Investment Bank (EIB) within the framework of the joint program of Ukraine and the EIB "Ukraine Recovery Program".

  • Who will get how much?

Vinnytsia Region — UAH 373.6 million;

Dnipropetrovsk region. — UAH 519.1 million;

Zhytomyr region. — UAH 445.4 million;

Kyiv region — UAH 2.4 billion;

Kirovohrad Region — UAH 244.2 million;

Odesa region — UAH 455.2 million;

Poltava Region — UAH 643.7 million

Sumy Region — UAH 82.2 million;

Cherkassk region. — UAH 98.9 million;

Chernihivska — 42.9 million UAH.

  • What will the funds be used for?

The money will be used to restore 109 facilities, including educational and healthcare facilities, administrative service centers, critical infrastructure facilities, etc.

 

It should be noted that the financial agreement between Ukraine and the EIB "Ukraine Recovery Program" was signed on December 9, 2020. According to it, it is planned to attract 340 million euros for the restoration of social infrastructure, housing and communal facilities, etc.

Priority is given to those regions that have suffered the most as a result of armed aggression or have experienced the greatest burden due to a significant influx of internally displaced persons.

We would like to remind you that in June the Government approved the procedure and conditions for the distribution of almost 4.48 billion hryvnias of subvention to local budgets for the restoration and development of infrastructure, in particular schools, hospitals, housing, housing and communal services facilities, etc.
